Who Is Your Trainer?

I bought my first flip in 1991. I love real estate. I just finished renovating $37,000,000 in rehabs in the last 16 months. I’ve wholesaled a ton as well. More importantly, I’ve taught 1000’s of students to invest with my coaching, consulting, courses and events.

I love real estate…maybe because I know it well and I’ve seen it change so many lives.

I’m not a guru. Just someone who had a dream to work for himself. What accelerated it was meeting a woman. I realized to build the life and family I wanted with her, I needed to stop traveling as a consultant. I started going to seminars. Tony Robbins, Robert Allen, Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, Jay Abraham..I started in mail order and ended in real estate and lots in between.

Off I went for 5 days in San Diego...Robert Allen’s first 5 day Creating Wealth seminar. In fact I remember the A/V guy he had was named Bill something. During the break I chatted him up and found out he was the same guy Tony Robbins used. In fact Tony emailed Allen’s list and that’s called an endorsed mailing and how I ended up walking on 50 ft of hot coals…Later I worked as Executive Vice President of Consulting with Tony’s conulting business…a story for another time.

Back to real estate…years after the Allen seminar, I got my notes off the shelf and followed them to the T and I bought my first investment property. Closed on my birthday. 4736 S Lamon, Chicago IL in 1991.

10 years later, I found myself working in television where as a consultant I brought innovative ideas like asking for email addresses from buyers, doing post sale teleseminars and webinars to leads and buyers. The industry typically just took a phone order and moved on to the next person. 

Skip ahead a decade after working on educational programs, live events and coaching that sold over $329 million dollars, I was not being happy with the results I saw people getting, I started my own thing…first teaching a few people then growing it. Eventually to thousands!
